About Me

As a graduate of Loyola Marymount University with a degree in Film, Television, and Media Studies, I have cultivated a deep understanding of visual storytelling and the impact of media in our lives. My academic background has equipped me with the skills to analyze and create compelling content, making my role as a Creative Assistant at Jam in the Van a natural extension of my studies. Here, I focused on editing video content, including podcasts and shorts, while also implementing effective SEO strategies, conducting client outreach, and developing social media marketing campaigns to increase our reach and engagement.

In addition to my passion for film and media, I have a strong interest in music. I studied contemporary styles and practices, complementing my classical knowledge of music with skills in composition, recording, and production. This multifaceted approach to music has provided me with a solid foundation in audio engineering, allowing me to combine my love for sound with my expertise in media. My diverse background in music and media not only informs my creative projects but also enhances my ability to produce content that resonates with audiences on multiple levels.

Technical Skills
I am proud of the way I have been able to inject my creativity into my work, but I have also developed several technical skills. I am skilled in various technical areas, with strong proficiency in Final Cut and the entire Adobe Suite, particularly with Adobe Premiere and Photoshop. My understanding of social media marketing and content calendars enables me to develop strategic plans that effectively enhance audience engagement. I pride myself on my interpersonal skills within the professional realm, helping me foster collaborative environments.

My hands-on experience in music studios has further refined my technical expertise. These include an exemplary understanding of signal flow, different micing and recording techniques, mixing specs for both music and film sound, and how to properly use and care for equipment like analog and digital consoles, standard microphones, outboard effects units, and tape machines. These skills have made my performance shine when capturing sound on set, assisting sessions in the studio, and collaborating with other engineers to cut prints for film.
