As a music student at Loyola Marymount University, I studied Contemporary styles and Practices with the guitar as my primary instrument. At LMU, I was a member of the guitar ensemble (classically focused) and the Jazz ensemble. Music theory and ear training were significant parts of my classical education, and I find that they are essential building blocks for any musician wanting to get to the next level of their playing. ​​​
